Name: Fred Kardon on Oct 5, 2006Comments: Not sure this'll do any good, but it's better than rolling over and playing dead. There's a small and arrogant leadership faction at the Club, not unlike the POA Board. Hard to break that circle when platforms of both are identical.Flag

Name: Donald Humphrey on Oct 5, 2006Comments: I could not agree more with this petition. If we can not get the $8,000 entry level membership and reasonable dues returned, our properties will be worth much less than market conditions would otherwise warrant, especially for villas and cottages.Flag

Name: Linda Saver on Oct 6, 2006Comments: As a relatively new villa owner (we purchased last year and were one of the first who had to join the club), we were shocked at the new membership rates. We were hoping to sell our villa and buy a house but this new proposal puts things in a whole different light. As someone who lives in New York and is an occasional visitor to Seabrook, we think this new proposal is appalling and insensitive to those many people who live out of state. Obviously, this increase was known to the board previous to the Horizon Plan vote. Had this been disclosed before the vote, many people would not have voted in favor of the plan. My husband and I, who voted for the Horizon Plan, would definitely have voted against the plan with this additional information.Flag

Name: Gary Kunkelman on Oct 6, 2006Comments: While I see benefits in IO and even mandatory club membership, I respectfully suggest that the excessive new entry fee needs to be reconsidered. This proposed increase illustrates a flaw that clearly needs fixing: all residents must be ensured a meaningful voice in decisions impacting the Island.Flag
