As long-standing owners of a villa and a lot, and as long-standing equity members of the club, we were in favor of Island One when it was initially presented. We believe our view was an ill-informed one at the time for a number of reasons, including our then-willingness to believe that the club's BOG was discharging its fiduciary obligations in the best interest of the overall membership. In the months that have ensued, we have had no choice but to come to regret our support and we have come to regard the BOG of our club as a body whose actions are in need of stringent review by the overall membership. We strongly support this petition for the good of all of the homeowners and for the good of the club's membership at large. Additionally, we urge, support and would be glad to participate in, a closer and more technical examination of the actions and working papers of the club's BOG and employees regardless of the final outcome and the repercussions that may attach to that.
