Name: Penney Poyzer on Oct 4, 2007Comments: This is an excellent, very busy post office providing an essential service to people of all ages. It would be utmost folly and a short-sighted, short-term cost cutting exercise to close the Melton Road Post Office. It would cut jobs and significantly reduce vibrancy of the local economy where it to be closed. PLEASE DON'T CLOSE IT!!!Flag

Name: Karina Wells on Oct 4, 2007Comments: After a wonderful refurbishment and always fantastic service it would be a sin to close this post office. I strongly request for it to stay open, as it will also congestion into west Bridgford town centre. Most people using the postoffice, walk, or cycle which they would not do if they had to go to the one in the centre.Flag

Name: David Nicholson-cole on Oct 4, 2007Comments: This branch only recently upgraded its facilities hugely, and deserves to make itself available to the very large population arond it.. and to the west of it. the one that used to be on Radcliffe rd shut a few years ago, so ones remaining are already widely spacedFlag

Name: Laura Melton Road Resident on Oct 5, 2007Comments: Is the only post office in that area and is very needed for its residents. Already the post office in town is getting extremely busy .Without Melton Road Post Office I can see myself queuing at the town post office for more than half an hour; in addition to that I will have to go into town to do my postage.Flag

Name: Alan Hunting on Oct 10, 2007Comments: As a daily large volume user of Melton Post Office, I just cannot believe our branch is on the hit-list for closure. The only branch in the area with large floor space, bright and pleasant atmosphere and modernisation in only recent years, and the most hard-working, pleasant family-team i've come across in any shop. I cannot think that this branch is losing money, it has a constant stream of customers day in, day out - zero justification for closure. Added to this, it is the only Post Office I know that opens all day Saturday and even Sunday morning!Flag

Name: Keith Jamieson on Oct 27, 2007Comments: The couple that run the Melton Road Post Office have clearly put a lot of work recently into improving it and are unfailingly helpful. If the Melton Road Post Office were closed it would be a great loss to the community. The alternatives are often very busy already.Flag
