Name: Richard Bryant on Mar 18, 2010Comments: Please fix Medicare by developing a rational and sustainable Medicare physician payment system that has built-in allowances for the rising cost of doing business as a professional provided and vital small business in the community and that is backed by a fair, stable funding formula without asking for large tax increases.City: Arlington, TexasState:Flag

Name: Adam S. Miner, MD on Mar 18, 2010Comments: I keep 28 cents of every dollar I recieve from insurance and medicare, after expenses. A 21 % reimbursement cut removes 21 cents, since it's not reducing my costs. THIS IS REALLY A 75% CUT IN TAKE HOME PAY. As a Primary Care Doctor in Family Medicine, I've already seen a 50% PAY CUT due to increasing expenses over the last 9 years, while Medicare and insurers have kept payments FLAT. CONTINUING UNDER THES CIRCUMSTANCES to be available to not only my Medicare patients, but even my regular patients is becoming an impossibility. I can GO BROKE taking care of over 3700 patients, or, ironically, I can "go concierge", and if I keep only 10% of these patients, willing to pay me only $1000 once per year, I can continue to provide that small number with the same excellent care, and I can more than double my income--something is wrong with this picture, and where would the other 90% of my patients go??City: Dallas, TexasState:Flag

They have contributed to this world a lifetime of work. I believe is our responsibility to take care of them now.City: Austin, TXState:Flag

Name: Raymond Slaughter on Mar 18, 2010Comments: I broke my hip last July and was given excellent care by both my physician and hospital. If you pass this bill, that care will not be available to people my age because you are cutting the payments to my physician on both Medicare and Tricare. We already have a shortage of physicians and you are not making it better.City:State:Flag
