Hello, and thank you for taking time to read this. It’s a very important deal to me that I share this with you. There is someone in my life that I have seen fight battle after battle, and still remain a very strong person both inside and out. Here is the story, of Melissa O’Laskey:

There is a young girl, Melissa O’Laskey, whom is like a younger sister to me. She has had the world crash around on her in more times during her 14 years of living then most people can fathom. It all started with the separation of her parents, and a few months after that, her older sister Angela was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 13. She lost her battle in 2007.
Since then, Melissa has had to cope with her mother's mental health struggles, and not having any connection with her father. A couple years after her sister's death, she had to withstand the death of her beloved grandfather. Melissa was then hit with a close friend's death, followed by the death of a classmate shortly after.
It seemed as though life was coming together for Melissa, but just as things were coming together, Melissa received some answers about her own health related struggles. Diagnosed with hypermobility, fibromyalgia and a severe pain disorder, her life got turned upside down, AGAIN.
Melissa had to quit cross country running and was restricted in her activities. Now, she has to maintain constant doctor appointments, and is learning to manage her pain. This diagnosis came before the loss of her father, which happened during her final contact with him. Melissa had struggled with coping with this loss, and it had become VERY clear that she exemplified all the signs of severe anxiety and depression.
Despite all of this, Melissa has thrived in school, and has plans to attend Yale. She is the most energetic, and spunky young lady anyone will ever meet. Her energy is intoxicating and she has a strong resilience that inspires everyone in her life.
Melissa has walked through darkness, but she had a light guiding her. Her faith in herself and in the world around her was made possible by the very famous Musician, Mr. Ed Sheeran.
It's a cliche statement, but true nonetheless, his music saved her from that darkness. He reached her when nothing else could. Melissa is truly Ed's number one fan. She has defended him and his career during his beginnings, in forums, classrooms, and all over social media. She has supported him as much as she possibly could with her mind, body and spirit.
Things brings me to my plead for your help. Ed Sheeran is coming to the CMAC in June, and all the people that love, and support Melissa will do anything for her to meet him. This letter/petition is to gather supporters to the cause, as we will be in talks with Production Companies, with Management, and especially with the CMAC, to make her dream come true.

The news of Ed Sheeran’s visit did not take long before it reached Melissa’s ears. When Melissa found out he was coming to town, she called us all on the phone crying, BEGGING for odd-jobs and work to save money to purchase a ticket when available.
I know how busy you all may be, and this request is so random, but this is bigger than myself, this is bigger than a fan meeting their favorite singer. This is for a girl meeting the man that saved her life many years ago, who is fighting her own demons, and could use a moment in her life where she isn’t being punished.
