Recently, there has been an increase in medicated children due to the "abnormal" stress they seem to cause their parents. Pharmaceutical industries took in about $250 billion in sales last year from all the over medicating in children. Today, 1 million children are diagnosed with bipolar when in fact, they are merely going through regular childhood behavior. Children as young as four years old are being put on medication and they are being tested. Whether the parent has knowledge of this or not because all the medications being used have never been tested on children before. Whatever medication is given to the child is given in hopes that it will improve their behavior. If it doesn't work or if a side effect develops, then the dosage is simply raised and/or another medication is added for the child to intake. As a result from all the medication being used on a child, they all succumb to multiple ticks and adverse defects developed by the medication. Sadly, suicide rates have also gone up. When one medication is used, another is needed in order to help with the side effects the prior medication has now made. This is clearly the domino effect and the worst part is that parents solely rely on doctors in order to direct them to the right direction but many doctors are funded by pharmaceutical industries thus making them bias towards medication. The thought hasn't occurred that children in general are never properly behaved. Or perhaps the child may be eating too much sugar, or there may be family problems that are affecting their behavior. There are simply too many factors contributing to the behavior of a child. Medicating a child with clear symptoms of Bi Poler or ADHD is one thing, but throwing medication at any child only because they are not well behaved is just immoral. Don't let the pharmaceutical industries win by allowing children to be medicated with high doses and multiple prescriptions. They just want to temporarily relief symptoms, not completely cure them in order for them to greatly profit.
