If you are a resident,landowner, outdoor enthusist, fisherman, boater, biker, hiker, farmer, or just someone who has enjoyed a day along the Meadow River.... PLEASE sign this petition to stop Surface Mining Permit SMA#S-3016-08. This permit for operation is off of 41 between Nallen and Russelville. There are plans to create a rail-to-trail along this portion of the river. There is high potential for an ecotourism hub in this area due to it's beautiful natural settings. THe permit is to disturb 45.6 acres and discharge into Fall Rock Branch of/ and Meadow River of Gauley river of Kanawha. Please stop this distruction and protect some of the resources for future generations!
