Ripley on Jun 6, 2007Comments: I could see this coming, but from everything that Microsoft has invested in its Partners and all of the effort, NOW is the best time Is the cash-cow not bringing in enough money or are shinier Certifications less qualifying than one that has been around for years Keep the MCSE and Microsoft can keep some respect for finally answering questions, giving detailed explainations, and doing so at a time after they've trailed the market with places like TestKing.Flag

Name: Thomas Wade on Jun 11, 2007Comments: Most employers don't know what MCTS or MCITP are. It will be a long time before they know. I think it would be better if Microsoft would just keep the MCP/MCDST/MCSA/MCSE and just work on making the exams more difficult instead of renaming there whole certification structure.Flag

Name: Morgan Storey on Jun 12, 2007Comments: Being just one exam away from my MCSE2003, I don't see the point on -A making it less exams, sure the exams I have done probably could have been rolled into 4 exams, but it shows persistence. and -B rebranding. The MCSE branding is huge, people outside of IT know what it is. It is a badge that I will wear with pride. Getting rid of it in place of a new name for that same type of exams is silly.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 24, 2007Comments: There is now a large gap in the certification offerings. There a large amoutn of low level MS certs and the VERY expsensive MCA cert designed for Microsoft employees. The MSCE let you show customers and employers you have a solid understanding of core MS Server technologies and designing solutions to fit. The new Certs are about days to day admin more akin to the MCSA.Flag
