Name: Erica Medina on Jan 26, 2013Comments: Our parents and teachers have always taught us to stand for something bigger than ourselves and this is it. You guys can't expect our University to grow if you're taking away the opportunity. I believe that those boys have given the administration more than enough proof to show you why they deserve to stay apart of McMurry. The thought of the administration even wanting to take away a new force at McMurry is ridiculous. How do you even begin to tell the boys who have come to Abilene, Texas from different countries that you're taking away SOCCER?!? Their own family away from home and you're taking it away? What is really going on? Budgeting? Is the problem money? Cutting sports isn't the answer I know that much. Our University is just spiraling down the drain. How do you expect to get students to stay here if you taking away the things they love?? You thought enrollment rates were low last year, cutting sports is only going to make them drop more and I didn't need a college education to figure that one out.Flag
