To The City of Bettendorf, Iowa Parks and Recreation Department:

We the Undersigned hereby petition to have McManus Park, located at 701 12th St, Bettendorf, IA 52722, officially renamed either Rocket Park or Rocket Ship Park.  We ask for this change because we have very fond memories of this park, and we call it Rocket Park or Rocket Ship Park because of the very prevalent rocket that could be climbed in.  The names Rocket Park and Rocket Ship Park are so commonly used by current and former residents of the Quad Cities, that even the Quad City Times newspaper has referred to it by that name.  See http://qctimes.com/app/goanddo/family/fun/?itemID=44&t=McManus_Park_%28Rocket_Park%29_|_12th_and_Mississippi_Boulevard,_Bettendorf,_IA.
