MBC Star Auditions were created to inspire individuals across the world to participate in a competition that would otherwise bring focus to MBC in an otherwise monopolized industry by Super Star K. As this is their first attempt at an international audition of this magnitude, certain mistakes are to be expected-- blatant ignorance of their own policies and rules for submissions, judging and operations however, should not be acceptable at either the voting, auditioning or operational level by the viewers at home, contestant participants, or members of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation or YouTube. This petition is against MBC for it's careless and unprofessional management of the talent during the timeframe of November 10th to December 3rd, and is specifically related to the following infractions, minor and major: A) MBC Star Auditions claims to be held on an international stage and encourages entrants to sing in any language, not just Korean. The final round contestants however, are all singing in Korean. B) MBC Star Auditions strictly rules that only submissions 100 seconds or less will be accepted. Of the final round contestants however, at least one has a video length greater than 100 seconds. C) MBC Star Auditions promotes the auditions as being a contest where 50 talented individuals will be chosen out of 500. Only 35 were chosen. D) MBC Star Auditions claims that all contestants will be chosen based on their votes or views, but that talent will play a factor as well. Many of the final contestants cannot even carry a note and have both less votes and views than many of the other talented contestants. E) MBC Star Auditions promotes a page where all auditions can be viewed. MBC Star Auditions subsequently began deleting submissions without notice half way into the judging process, leaving a half-populated audition page, subsequently denying many of those who had made it into the top 500 the ability to confirm so at a later date. This petition is not out of hatred or anger, and should not be signed by those simply angry for not having been selected, but rather out of love for the competition and interest in it's success as a professionally run and well organized competition, which it has not been so far. Make your voice heard and promote the fairness that each and ever contestant deserved. Sign now.
