Name: Malcolm Felberg on Feb 12, 2010Comments: The possable that the A&E at Mayday could be closed is a very very short sighted way in which to ensure that patents in Croydon and the surrounding area are denyed the oppertunity of using a well equiped service provider who is set up to treat a VAST range of problems that occure to individuals...if at the odd occassion a minor illness is vested upon the A&E ...so be it...thats what people want and thats what people should have.Flag

Name: Vera Stork on Feb 12, 2010Comments: Read in the Advertiser today that A&E might be closing down in 2 years time and then the nearest would be Tooting Bec. What rubbish is that. Croydon is a big area which also covers SE25 (South Norwood) etc.Flag

Name: Eileen Withrington on Feb 12, 2010Comments: Please do not close the Mayday's A&E unit which provides an essential service to Croydon - a very large area that needs such core services close to its centre and available to residents across the borough.Flag

Name: Alan Froude on Feb 12, 2010Comments: Having just read this weeks Croydon Advertiser I was appalled about the possible closure of Mayday's A & E as it certainly saved my life ! Where would we have to go as an A & E patient - Bromley, Redhill ? Fat chance of Croydon becoming a City !Flag

Name: Gill Cripps on Feb 12, 2010Comments: Croydon is one of the largest London boroughs and its A&E is probably one of the busiest. If Croydon's A&E closes, people south of the borough will not travel to St Georges they will opt for East Surrey - have the implications of that been thought through?Flag

Name: Hazel Marsh on Feb 12, 2010Comments: I have lived in Croydon for 35 years and over the years have needed to attend Mayday A&E on a number of occassions. If I had to travel to St George's it would entail calling an ambulance. In my opinion it is insanity not to have a local A&E in an area with such a large/growing population with a high number of young and elderly residents.Flag

Name: Helen Carter on Feb 12, 2010Comments: Are they crazy? Croydon needs it's A & E dept. I have had to use it myself and for my family,( fractures etc.)as well as working here and it is vital for good patient care. In my currrent role as discharge co-ordinator I can see that the health needs of Croydon are increasing as well as the fact that we have the immigration offices. Our A & E should be even bigger.Flag

Name: KIRSTEN FLETT on Feb 12, 2010Comments: I have a couple of potentially life- threatening illnesses and there is no way that i would safely make it to any other hospital. How on earth will the other A +E cope when not one of them is coping with their current load?!!!Flag

Name: Tricia Sabine on Feb 12, 2010Comments: I'm horrified to learn of plans to move Mayday's A&E to Tooting. Any delays incurred due to greater distances to nearest A&E in Tooting could be literally a matter of life and death. Mayday must keep its own A&E.Flag
