| 351 | Simon H Bailey | I feel it is unfair to exclude mature students from receiving reduced fair bus passes as we all suffer from reduced funds being back at university. |

| 353 | Thomas Kristensen | Cheap travels should be given out of respect for what people do - not based on their age. |
| 354 | Fraser Shepherd | As a 25 year old student I fully support this! |

| 363 | Louisa Jeffrey | We know we need to encourage 'lifelong learning' in the UK (& particularly within Scotland), so this relatively small token from Lothian Buses would be so gratefully received. Maybe there's a possibility of this action being grant-funded by the EU or Scottish Parliament?! |
| 364 | Kenneth Humphreys | I am a mature student who would buy a bus pass if discounted. Instead, I try and use my bike and only occaisionally use bus. LRT would get more money out of me if I could buy a discounted bus pass. |
| 365 | sanjeev kumar | Students over the age of 25 should also get the discounted bus pass. They are also having financial burdens. No logic why students over age of 25 should not get the discounted pass. |
| 366 | Laureen McHaffie | bus travel should cost the same for all students regardless of age, this surely has implications with age discrimintaion legislation? |

| 373 | Nasteha Yusuf | Strongly support that all students who full time should get discount with bus passes regardless of thier age, as most student cannot afford to pay amount required. |
| 374 | Marco Puig | Dear sir/madam,
I'm a mature student who carry a heavy financial burden... I believe mature students should have the same entitlements that those who are under 25.

| 375 | ANGELA BROWN | It is terrible that we should have to pay the full adult price, most mature students have more financial strain than the younger ones. |
| 376 | Alan G Melville | Older students often have just as many financial problems as younger ones, but no provision is made. The mature students grant was scrapped in '95, and this might go a small way to help replace that for those of us over 25. |
| 377 | Pierre Morf | |
| 378 | Sharon O'Connor | As a mature student in my 4th year of full-time education, I strongly object to the age discrimination shown by companies to full-time students over the age of 25. As there is now a law governing age discrimination in the workplace, surely this should be addressed? Thank you. |

| 382 | Helen McGoldrick | Sign up for CityLink - they offer discounts for ALL full time students regardless of age! |
| 383 | paula rodger | i think all students no matter what age should get discount when on public transport!
im 29yrs old and a single parent (not through choice) to a 2yr old, i would deffo use public transport more if i was able to get cheaper concessionary rates. its unfair that because im over 25 i have to pay the full price, i have a house to keep and a child so need as much help as possible!! |
| 384 | Margaret Baxter | The fact this petition exists, speaks volumes. |

| 386 | nusrat chaudhary | I would just like to say that in the past I have commented to the Lothian Buses (phone) regarding mature students fares. And their response was that it is not their fault that i had decided to study at this age and not had taken up the opporturnity when i was younger... I was very, very disappointed that a company with such credability would make a comment like that and discrimminate against older students..... it is unfortunate that my present circumstances do not allow me to buy a car but hopefully in the near future i have every intention to do so.

| 387 | lesley stevens | The price us mature students over the age of 21 should come under the age discrimination act. why should we pay more than the younger students when we have similar incomes and outgoings? |

| 394 | Gaurav Shandilya | I strongly feel that students above 25yrs should be given discount as thre's so much burden on us and although we are considered as full time students everywhere else and are treated as one apart from The Lothian Buses, which is some kind of age discrimination and hopefully it'll soon get considered and proper action will be taken in favour of the students. |

| 396 | Alan Moffat | I consider this blatant age discrimination. Every full time student should either receive a benefit or not. If the company where to only give the benefit to either sex, exclude a race, or not provide disabled access would it be allowed? Why should age be any different? |
