| 2 | Hyperionwitch | I don't really watch the show, but I'd like to do so sometime. And from the art I've seen, I agree with this petition. So female toys for the win! |
| 3 | Anonymous | Here here! |

| 5 | Pansu | i'd have to say yes that there is really a lack of femal matel action figures. sure there's the faux action dolls, "barbie" -fied. grant it that most charecters that are usually more seeked out are some male charecters, but still.... i sure would like to buy a female charecter figure to have and own, or even give it as a gift to someone younger or in the future to maybe my kids. the only time i've seen a female charecter made was for power rangers. it certainly would be nice to have more female charecter action figures sold more so like the males, or at least see that there is the consideration of these charecters for young children or young adults.
its not the desire to cause a havoc because of a sexist view, its more so of the "fan" within someone to see another charecter other then the mainstreamed 2 to 3 figures that the public is always thrown at. |
| 6 | Nicole | AZULA!!!! |
| 7 | Anonymous | No girls means no Toph, and Toph is awesome. How dare there be no action figure of her 1337 earthbending skills?! No, really, I'm sure there'd be a great market for them, so what are you waiting for, guys who make Avatar figures? Go make some! |
| 8 | Tamsyn | Come on, Toph's the coolest character there |

| 11 | Alejandro Mendoza | Well, I would like to have a Katara action-figure, how else willI get movements for waterbenders?! |

| 14 | VoldieAutumn | Toph and Katara rock! I would so buy those action figures! It sucks to have awesome girl characters in a series and little to no merchandise of them! WHAT IS WITH YOU PEOPLE! grrr! |
| 15 | Denna | |
| 16 | Cathy | |
| 17 | C.R. Majors | Well, not sure if this will do any good...but it sure can't hurt! I'm tired of females getting the short end of the stick when it comes to action figure lines. Let's have a Katara figure, already! |
| 18 | Nilaya | You're absolutely right. |
| 19 | Hayley | |
| 20 | Sara | The people who make these toys aren't being fair to the girl characters! |
| 21 | PxC! | Katara and Toph for the win!
...And maybe uncle Iroh.
No more sexist figures, matell! D:
...And old people need love too! XD |
| 22 | Millista MacIntyre | I love this show and all of its characters, and I definately hope to see some female toys in the future. |
| 23 | Jeni | Come on, the girls of Avatar are awesome! They need love too! |
| 24 | Heide Manriquez | |
| 25 | Elisa deWaard | right on |
| 26 | Alex | A Toph figure would be rather spiffy. If female action figures would actually come into existence for this show. |
| 27 | Anonymous | All for the female avatar plush toysI want a katara cuddly toy! And so do many others! Please stop depriving us!!!! |

| 30 | Lehst | As soon as I see a Katara or Toph toy I will buy it. I was so disappointed when they didn't make Katara, in fact I didn't want to buy any.
Hear that Mattel? I'll start buying the whole set once you make Katara! |
| 31 | Joshua Derke | The lack of female characters is equally egregious to the current generation of "legos". C'mon, don't disappoint your customer base, Mattel. |
| 32 | Alexis Dolan | When my 15 year old son makes the comment that it is really sexist that there are not Katara or other female Avatar figures, you gotta figure that Mattel has messed up. Katara is a MAJOR figure in the story. Who was the brain wave that decided to drop the ladies? |
| 33 | D. A. Burgos | And don't make them "girly"....we want FEMALE ACTION FIGUERS, not doll that lets you fix it's hair. |
| 34 | Amelia | |
| 35 | Anonymous | yes, it would be nice if toy makers could stop veign so God Damn Sexist. |
| 36 | Anonymous | preach! |
| 37 | Dana | Female characters are just as good as the male ones!
They deserve their own action figure or doll! |
| 38 | Mary Swallow | This is just soo wrong. I am a mother of 2 BOYS who love this show. Katara is a main character who is totally cool. How dare they not make an action figure for her! I mean Sokka has 2 figures already. I do like him but come oh already. My sons want ALL the characters and that means girls too. I was looking forward to getting the entire series, but I will no longer buy ANY Avatar toys until Katara and Toph get made!!! |
| 39 | Bobbie and Steven | Like others when we saw the Avatar action figures, we freaked out from absolute joy. But that joy immediatly turned to disgust, when we saw that there where no females. Mattel has done this with many series of action figures, and it needs to stop. When the females are added, then we will buy the full series. |
| 40 | LadySaphira | I'm turning 16 in may and I love the show, but was disgusted by the fact that there aren't any female figure, but in their place, variants of the same male characters over and over, some of which don't even appear in the show!(e.g. water nation Aang, there isn't even a water nation in the show!). I think it's bitterly ironic that they don't make female figures when in the show, all the strongest characters (excluding the avatar) are female; Azula with her blue fire, Katara with her healing abilities, and my personal favorite, Toph, who despite the fact that she's blind, is probably the most powerful character in the series so far. I personally am not going to so much as touch a single piece of Avatar merchandise until there are some female figures and I don't mean dolls with pretty hair and dresses, I mean REAL action figures! |
| 41 | Stephanie | I'm a mother of two girls who are very upset that there are no female action figures for Avatar: The Last Airbender. My youngest thinks Toph is the greatest. Both of my girls raid my collection of female action figures (She Ra, Reboot, Buffy.)
Mattel needs to realize that they could make a good profit by making the female action figures. They could do a limited edition as a test market to see what response the public has. I guarantee that girls are not the only ones who would purchase the female action figures. |
| 42 | Rachel | |
| 43 | Jeremy Foat | I want a Toph and a Katara figure! |
| 44 | barbara hughes | Why is not making Katara @ Toph toys?
it is an outrage for my son.
Sinceraly,
Barbara |
| 45 | Rene-philippe Henault | That's realy unfair at least create Katara and Toph.
P.S. There's an other petition about the no female avatar action figures at:
http://www.petitiononline.com/fematla/petition.html |
| 46 | Anonymous | I have a 7 year old boy who loves the show and owns all the available figures. He keeps asking me about Katara and Toph.Whats going on?
How do I explain Mattels sexist attitude to him??? |
| 47 | Anonymous | I was searching for the website to ask the exact same question. My husband, 8 yr old son and I all love the show and my son has all of the action figures - how can they continue to make so many different style Aangs, and Zukos, and not even 1 female!! And where is uncle IRO too? |
| 48 | benny | why arn't ther femail avatar tots |
| 49 | Anonymous | In this day and age, you'd think that we would be past the sexism. What are we teaching our children when my 8 year old daughter and I can't even buy anything with Katara or Toph, only the men or boys from Avatar have merchandise. |
| 50 | Amanda Aaronson | Well, I for one WILL be feministic in including my signature. My DAUGHTERs love Avatar, all three of them. They are crushed to not have the female characters to play the complete team with. My four year old especially wonders where Toph is. How do I explain to them that the girls aren't good enough in Mattel's eyes? |
