School cricket offers physical, mental and social benefits. It is a sport which can be enjoyed by males and females of all ages. The opportunity exists for the small School community of Padthaway to be involved in Naracoorte and Districts School Cricket. This season, almost 20% of the students are enlisted to play for the School. A need exists for new cricket mats at the Primary School to enable the team to play at their own school. This will prevent the students from travelling to the Town Cricket Oval for practise and games against other schools. This need has been recognised by a community group who gifted necessary funds to the School for the purchase of said mats. Unfortunately, these funds have been allocated to other projects by the School. Arguably, cricket mats will be beneficial for students of Padthaway for years to come. Representatives of The School Governing Council respectfully ask for your support.
