In these days of shock revelations about institutions and individuals in powerful and influential positions I believe that to build trust again in Government their needs to be more accountability at a basic level all across the country. I would like to see constituency meetings and workshops to clearly explain to the local population in every area how their MP is going to ground the Party's Manifesto not only nationally but also for local issues. I need to feel the local MP for my area is well tuned in to Local, Party and National issues (with accountability) and can communicate that to their own constituency. These Constituency Meetings and Workshops could possibly take place twice a year - at the beginning of the Parliamentary Year, to lay out issues to be looked at and the end of the Parliamentary year, to see how successful the Policies have been. Possibly then to also lay the basis for local, national and party ideas for the following year.
