    Comments: Yes, I completely agree that Marty is not a threat to society, that he was acting in the same vain as a battered wife or child--haveing been abused all of his life by Bobby Kent and feeling he had no other way out, and that he at the very least deserves a reduced sentence, if not a completely new trial. There have been murders in this society, where innocent people having nothing to do with the assailant were killed and the purpotrator(s) recieved lighter or much lighter sentences. An example would be in the Broussard case from 1991 in Houston, TX or the Allan Schindler case from 1992 in Sasabo, Japan (both American). One assailant recieved life with parole and the other main assialant(of 10) only recieved 45 years. Marty was abused by Bobby his entire life. In his mind, and maybe in real life--as I do not believe Bobby would have ever left him alone--he was just defending himself.
