Name: Susan Lawson on Feb 14, 2004State: WVCountry:Comments: This young man was certainly traumatized by the kid who died. It seems he was lost through the cracks. Someone from the school system should have noticed what was going on. This is what happens to young kids that no one wants to help. Now he is rotting away in a prision. He should not be. He should be actively participating within society to help other kids...kids who have no one to stand by them and help them through their trials. I am sure he would be much more successful helping others than he is in PRISON...and that in all actuality he will always be imprisioned by what has happened. It was a tragic thing...the murder of a bully. I know that was not the way to handle things, but when I look back to when I as a teenager, I remember how unrealistic all us young teenagers thought, and how easy it was to follow along just to fit into the crowd. Please let this young man be free where he can help others. He has the will and desire to do so. Thanks.Flag

Name: Theresa Peterson on Mar 9, 2004State: ORCountry: USComments: I believe Marty is a victim of abuse. I was also a victim of abuse. I also know what it is like to be dragged into doing something (whether it's right or not)while under the influence and trust for your friends. Marty is a father. He needs to have a second chance at life with his family. Please, just give him that. I pray everyday for his freedom. The Lord pulled me out of the pit, I know he will pull Marty out too. How is he going to take responsibility for his child if he's behind bars anyway Please, for the love of God, give him a second chance. The Lord has forgiven him...can you Thank you so much.Flag

Name: Jennifer Lopez on Apr 11, 2004State: NJCountry: USComments: I mean where do I begin......... There are about thousands and thousands of books on how to handle bullies and people who make you feel inferior. The mental health association says 1/3rd of US students experience bullying, as a target or a perpetrator, 47% of parents and 77% of teachers report children victimized by bullies. Bullying and violence cause 160,000 children to miss at least one school day each month. Millions of Physiologist and Physiatrist around the world will tell you to stand up for yourself and don’t take abuse from anyone. I mean there is so much abuse you can take before your mind and body breaks totally down. I mean when is enough, enough And what is the last straw I mean how much should anyone take before there mind as well as sanity just explodes I myself truly believe that if you push someone enough, they will just mentally breakdown. In which there sanity totally leaves their mind. And they truly believe what they do to the abuser is good. I mean there whole reality is nothing it’s a blank. I mean all the abuse they endure is unleashed in such a fury. I feel pity on the person who’s unleashing the fury, because their pain is real. I know that we are taught to grief and feel sorry for the person who is enduring the pain, but I feel what goes around comes around. I mean if a person abuses another person that’s wrong, but if the abused attacks the abuser then that’s justice. To me at least. For instance I’ve been researching this True story that I caught on TV one night. This movie along with its story attacked my soul and heart. This movie moved me in so many ways I couldn’t even explain all of it. It made me want to help the one’s that were convicted. Even though what they did was malicious, I truly feel that they were driven to do the things they did. I mean you could turn your experiences into positives and negatives, but I mean who are we to decide what’s right What we think as a positive others think negative and vice versa. The movie that moved me is called "Bully" and it’s based on a True Story that Happened in Broward County, South Florida. It tells the story of a bully named Bobby Kent and his best friend Marty Puccio. Now in this movie my sympathy fell toward Marty even though he is the one who murdered his best friend. I mean were talking about years and years of physical, verbal and mental abuse. I mean his fury was ignited, fueled, and extinguished by his victim. I mean his physical mind must have not truly comprehended his actions. I totally feel in my heart that when they release all their anger and pain on the person who has abused them, that then they feel justified. They feel free. And it hurts me to think that the only way for them to feel free is to physically hurt another. But as it hurts me, it soothes me to know that finally they are at peace. I mean I know that we as human beings have no right to judge or kill anyone. But what is justice We have people walking the streets who have killed children, I know that the families of the children that have died want justice. But who are we to judge what’s fair and unfair I feel that people that do crimes to get something out of it are wrong, but I also feel that people who do crimes to break free and to be at peace are not wrong. For society makes them feel they have no other choice, but to do what they must to survive. Now in this movie you can see that Marty tries so hard to break free of Bobby. He tries to convince his family to move. That should of been a sign to the Puccio family that their son was in trouble. They didn’t even try to find out what was wrong. I feel that family is a big impact on how there child’s outcome will be. In this movie you can see how Marty changes from the sweet person he truly is to the vicious person he becomes. They weirdest part is how different the victim Bobby is with his parents. Bobby’s lack of respect for women truly annoyed me. You would think that he wasn’t raised right. Bobby’s parents think that Marty is a bad influence, but in reality Bobby is indeed the bad one. His need to keep Marty around to ridicule and humiliate him for his own enjoyment sickens me. He uses him in more ways then one. Marty’s anger builds with every blow and every insult. Not only does Bobby hurt others with words and fists he sexually assaults woman. In the movie he rapes Marty’s girlfriend Lisa Connelly as well as her friend Alice Willis. I’m sure deep down in Marty’s heart and soul he’s screaming to rid himself of this nuisance. This person who’s dragging him down this dark abyss. -Jennifer LopezFlag

But I do not believe that he is a threat to anyone else or ever was, espically after over ten years. The other people who were involved barely even knew Bobby Kent which makes them even more of a theat to society. Marty was abused by this person and in my eyes, pushed to what he did. Most of the others are out of prison, he should be too.Flag
