Brian Johnson | Martin Brundle is The man for the job.
Anonymous | He has carried the coverage of the sport despite working along with peronality-less 'prfessionals'. The Louise Goodmans, James Allens and Mark Blundells ITV have brought through in the past, have added nothing to the spectacle of F1 in a time when its excitement was often limited. Martin on the other hand offered a validation, a belief in the sport. He should be the figure head to bring it through its next evolution
Chris Casabianca | What a legend.... enough said!

rob conley | please do not let max mosley interfere.theres only one man for the job,and thats Martin.i'm sure your audience figures would be lower without him.
nicola conley | Martin Brundle has sucessfully replaced Murray Walker as the voice of Formula One. To allow Max Mosley to tell us (after all you are supposed to be our National TV Broadcaster) who should commentate is outrageous and if you allow that to happen I will not be watching your coverage of Formula One in 2009 The BBC coverage of F1 was always the best, to claim that accolade again you need the best people in your team and that includes Martin Brundle
| 57 | Anonymous | Martin Brundle is one of the best commentators (the other one being Murray Walker, of course!) that have been in F1 since I started watching in 1986. If the BBC doesn't offer him a contract, then the racing will not be as enjoyable and I will switch off.
(Oh and, in my opinion, Martin Brundle was right and the FIA investigation and conviction of McLaren WAS like a witch hunt - would it have ended the way it did if it had been Ferrari that were in the dock? - I think not!!!) |
Michael Conley | Martin Brundle makes the commentary interesting and lets the fans know what's going on with the cars. Hes experience will be hard to replace and it will be less watchable as far as im concerned.
Alan Jones | Would like to see Martin on BBC.
Robert Hartley | Having watched F1 for nearly 30 years and attended the British Grand Prix both at Silverstone and before that at Brands Hatch I believe that Martin Brundle is the best commentator the sport has ever had, including the legendary Murray Walker.
Richard Whitehead | Keep Martin
simon.may |
Anonymous | F1 on TV would be the poorer without the superb insights and brilliant commentary of Martin Brundle
Duncan Harris |
Salli Kassam | Martin Brundle is one of the best commentators I have ever heard in this sport. He is knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge without being patronising. Please BBC take him too!
Alastair McLeod | F1 would not be the same without Brundle's effective, insightful and entertaining commentary. The BBC MUST hire him for the same job when they take over.
Nufail Khan | As a fan of formula 1, following the sport via ITV commentay, it is evident and accepted by all fans, that 'The voice of F1' is Martin Brundle. To exclude him from any semblance of commentary, removes any gloss, prestige, expertise from BBC F1 coverage.
Anonymous | Martin Brundle is the face of televised F1 in the modern era.
Andy Bush |
richard andrew | Brundle has to be the number 1 choice for commentating on F1 on the Beeb. F#%K Mosley and his bizarre sexual behaviours!
John Tillston | How can you not have Brundle commentating, it was bad enough losing Murray but to lose Martin too would be unthinkable !! Mosely needs to back off, never trust a man that likes to be probed for lice !!!
Richard Lawson |
Robert Hartley | Yes, I totally agree
Daphne Morgan | This is a vote for common sense. Martin Brundle's absence would, I believe, seriously affect viewers' education as well as enjoyment of motor sport.

Anonymous | We must have Martin. He wins awards for a reason.
Liam |
| 81 | Carlton Jefferis | I wholeheartedly agree with this petition. The BBC would be completely mad to replace Martin Brundle.
Yes, Hammond is funny, but this sport isn't for taking the Mickey.
Murray *was* the best, but times have changed and could he still cut the mustard? Even he would probably say no.
I simply cannot think of anyone who could do half as good a job as Brundle; superb grid walks, gritty, insightful opinion and analysis. Brilliant.
Please also support my petition to keep Louise Goodman, one of the few women in motorsport TV reporting, at:

ROB | LEGEND, ENOUGH SAID
Anonymous | Please sign Martin up for next season because he'll bring a depth of knowledge and experience second to none. He also has a professional, entertaining and pleasant manner. He'd be a huge loss to the sport were he not to be on air at the start of next season. Maybe you would consider having Murrat Walker as host of the show. Martin & Murray make an exceptional pairing.

Anonymous | IGNORE MARTIN AT YOUR PERIL BBC!
| 90 | Anonymous | Hire him!
Get right up the nose of Max 'don't be dumb be a smarty - come and join the nazi party' Mosley. |
Aileen Hamer |
karl cacchioli |
Bob Jonson |
David Skjaerpe | Please -- it's very important for the sport to maintain the high level of knowledge and their current working relationship with both teams and drivers
Alan Lambert |
Lee Hake | Martin is THE voice of Formula 1 and should be hired by the BBC along with Mark Blundell & James Allen. Why fix something that is not broke?
Anonymous | keep martin
James Smith | Martin is an awesome commentator!
Dyfed williams |
R. Taylorson | Martin Brundle is the best F1 commentator since Murray Walker. Please BBC keep him on as commentator. Thank you.
