This petition seeks digital signatures ONLY of citizens of Bremerton, WA. The current action asks for the renaming of 7th Street between Warren and Park and 7th Street on Park and Pacific split streets; to be renamed to Martin Luther King, Jr. Street. These are two short streets. The planning and comprehensive study of choices have not been sufficiently circulated. We are requesting additional time for wider community engagement and discussion. We the undersigned are concerned citizens who urge our Bremerton, WA City Council Leaders to vote "NO" on the proposed renaming of 7th Street two split streets to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Please sign our petition by Oct. 1, 2013 Thanks, Citizens for a grander street to be named for a great civil rights leader.
