To Stockport Council, We note the continued delay to the construction of the Marple Dale Footbridge and that if the project is cancelled the people of Stockport will lose the benefit of £250,000 of lottery money original won by Sustrans for 79 'Connect2' projects around the country totalling £50 million. We urge Stockport Council to complete this important project with the minimum of delay for the benefit of the people of Stockport and help them play their part in protecting the environment.
