The organization finally confirmed that the seats will indeed be teal. I am thrilled that our vision for the stadium will reflect the true colors of this team and our home.
After 16 years of having to play in a stadium primarily designed for the Dolphins, the Marlins are finally going to have a ballpark of their own, one where the focus will be on baseball and the Marlins. It is with this thought that we, the fans, request that the seats in this new park reflect the team that will be playing there. Make the seat color Marlin Teal.
Teal is the color that the Marlins wore when Charlie Hough threw the first pitch in franchise history in 1993. Teal is the color of the ocean at South Florida's top notch beaches. Teal should share the same type of identity with the Marlins as Dodger Blue or Cardinal Red.
When the Cardinals released their plans for the new Busch Stadium, it originally contained green seats like you find at many other parks. After countless Cardinals fans requested that the seats be changed to red to match the team color, the Cardinals ownership listened to their fanbase and obliged. As Opening Day 2012 will mark a new day in the Marlins franchise, one where fans can feel more secure about the team's stability in the area we respectfully request that the Marlins ownership listen to its fans and change the ballparks design to reflect teal seats.
I have been looking at the designs for the new stadium and it is frustrating to see so much generic gray when we could have a ballpark that actually feels like home. This is our team and our city so the colors should reflect that history instead of being an afterthought.

Seeing this level of enthusiasm for the teal seats reminds me of sitting at that very first opening pitch in 1993. We are proving that fans deserve a home that actually reflects our team identity and history.

PLEASE make them teal. It matches the branding and gives the place a real home feel instead of just another generic stadium.

Yes! Teal is iconic for this team. Would look way better than boring old blue seats.

Teal seats would look so sharp. Really hope ownership actually listens to us for once.

The dolphins stadium was a nightmare for baseball. If we finally get our own spot it better look like it belongs to us.
