Appeal to the Floria Appellate Court; to reverse the 20 year conviction of MARISSA ALEXANDER, and grant her custody of her 2 year old child, whom her husband has custody of. Ms. Alexander received a 20 year sentence for defending herself from a physically abusive husband, when her defense of Florida's "STAND YOUR GROUND" was rejected. Yet, this is the same defense ZIMMERMAN, who is not black, used and was acquitted of, when he shot and killed TRAYVON MARTIN, an unarmed black teenager. However, Ms. Alexander who feared for her life, and who is of African-American persuasion gets convicted, and sentenced to 20 YEARS for shooting into the wall, where no one was killed or injured. Every man and woman regardless of race should be appalled at the injustice of this case. All women's agencies for Domestic Violence should be jumping through the roof. If this case as it stands, sets precedence for women to protect and defend themselves, then the jury in Jacksonville, FLA. has just set you back in the ages. The defense, "STAND YOUR GROUND",was good enough for Zimmerman when he killed MARTIN, then it's good enough for ALEXANDER to defend herself from physical abuse. There is disparate treatment between the two cases and gross injustice, which is an affront to anybody's sense of fairness, conscience and common sense.
