The environment has been strained for so many years when recycling wasn't even in the dictionary as of yet. Now that we do have recycling we need to enforce it and when it gets enforced for the sake of a clean environment. Every year tornados and hurricanes hit the United States and it is a sign that the environment has been stressed way too much. By enforcing recycling the U.S. government will tell all of it's people that it cares about the environment and that it also wants its citizens to care the same way. The government could start by giving incentives to those people who are willing to recycle and the others would have to pay more taxes. In Europe and Canada recycling is taken much more serious than in the United States and I feel the United States needs to start being a leader in recycling to show the world how important it is to protect and preserve a clean environment and to protect precious renewable and non-renewable resources.
