Are you upset with Genesee counties harsh marijuana laws!! First time possession gets you thrown in jail!! We now live in a state were marijuana is accepted for medical uses, We need to act now to change these laws!!! By signing this petition you agree that possession of marijuana needs to be lowered to a $75 fine for first time possession with no included jail time. Second offense of Marijuana Possession will include a $150 fine. Third or more possession will result in a $300 fine and up to 10 days in jail. If an any time possessions includes more than 28 grams they will pay the maximum fine of 300 dollars and spend the 10 days in jail. I know all this sounds a little harsh but believe me serving jail time right off the bat for simple possession is a ridiculous decision. This simple plant marijuana takes up much of the time and money used by Law Enforcement to bust more serious offenses such as Murders, Rapes, and Robberies. Act now to stop these chaotic old laws from affecting you. Just as our President has been saying now is time for a change!!!
