A HEARTBROKEN gran was yesterday told by a court she had just 48 hours to leave her home - to make way for the Commonwealth Games. Margaret Jaconelli, 52, will be evicted from her pad in Glasgow's Dalmarnock as it stands in the way of the athletes' village for 2014. But Margaret - offered £30,000 for her family home of 34 years - last night vowed to defy the council, saying: "I'm going nowhere." How in a modern democratic society can a governmnet be able to force a person from their own home, not even a council rented one but bought outright. This is the same council that offered £30,000 to buy the flat compared to the millions they were happy to pay out to tycoons who owned the land around the area. I do not believe this is right, and it should be stopped and help set a precedent for any futuremoves of this type.
