There have been far to many barn fires and animal losses over the last few years.

It is mandatory for our houses to be equipped with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide, building equipped with sprinkler systems and so on.

It is 2016 and the technology that is out there should be used.

We put up cameras to monitor mares in foal, but why not alarms to prevent the total lose of a property or animals

I believe that with the technology that we have at our use, there should be video surveillance In use at every farm. Wether it be from the owners home, iPad, smart phone etc to a complete security system installed by a well know company who sends for help for you if your not home.

Something needs to be done

We protect our family's with alarms in our home, why not in our barns?

I am asking that you sign in hopes we can have a law passed that it be mandatory to have some sort of monitoring system in place in every farm, not just horses but pig barns have burned, cows etc

I also think that local fire/police depts should know all the local farms inside and out like they do for businesses. Animal farms are businesses too right?!
