Name: Clive Barthorpe on Dec 5, 2012Comments: a truly iconic building which is seen and admired daily by people transiting through Central Manchester via Piccadily station. Why is the council so powerless for CPO - if it was for a new motorway v private property we all know how quickly the legal process would be enacted to evict the private owner The Ancoats' Hospital Dispensary Building front seems to fall into the same ilk where the council have done to little to late and can now blame it on "austerity" and having to cut, cut, cut... What they don't do is tell you what they have done with millions they gained from concerts at Heaton Park - (Stone Roses) for example where no attempt seems to have been made to reinvest in the heritage by opening the hall or Wythenshaw - the only information seems to be to cut costs / employment / services to preserve local services and visitor enjoyment - I am at a loss how closing the cafes and toileting facilities does this Who is accountable? - let them stand up and be honest and accountable!!Flag

Name: Marc Wilson on Dec 6, 2012Comments: This stunning building must be saved at whatever cost i was a trainee fire officer here before it shut and i was stunned by the elegance of this this building, all Britiannia are doing at this time is allowing the building to run down, it will get to a state where the building will either burn down or will need to be demolished both of these ideas are unexceptable, MCC must do some thing to preserve this historic building. Brittiannia you have had this building for over twenty years so dont say you have not had the money to do something with it, you are ruining Manchester history.Flag
