I, Jacob Aaron Holden, am petitioning the court to be allowed visitation rights for my daughter Malaysia Marie Stensrud Holden. Since her birth I have been involved in her care. Due to a traumatic brain injury, I am disabled. I have support provided by disabilty and have two home health care providers. My mother, Pamela Sue Holden is one of my home health providers, the other is my brother, Joshua Henry Holden. Along with myself supporting my daughter, my mother, brother and my daughters other grandmother have provided for her support. My daughters mother had very little to do with the raising of my child. Within the past six months her mother has tried to be more involved in her life. She has had another child and married the father of that child. On October 30, 2010 my daughters mother and her husband came to me demanding child support for Malaysia. Since I am on disability, I only receive $449.00 monthly. I have not received any additional money for the support of my daughter. I have been told that I have to contact the Social Security Administration to inquire about additional support. Malaysia's mother and her husband wanted $100.00 monthly for her support. At first I would not agree to this because I, my mother, my brother and her other grandmother were supporting her. On October 30, 2010, Malaysia's mother denied me from any contact with her. At that point, I told them that I would pay them the money they were asking for, but due to a disagreement between my child's mother and the child's other grandmother, she decided to not allow any of us to see her at all. Since birth, the major people who have raised my daughter are now not allowed to see her at all. My daughter's mother and her husband have refused the child any contact with the only people she has known since birth. I am concerned about the emotional distress that this is causing my child. She has told myself, my mother, my brother and her other grandmother that she does not want to stay with her mother and her husband and that she wants to be with me, my mother, my brother and her other garanmother. So I am asking the court if they could please step in and grant us a court date to set up a visitation schedule.
