Joe a young bellhop whose life has been in a bit of a downward spiral lately doesn't have a clue of how bad things are about to get when he’s caught up in a world where money and stature tend to dictate the rules sometimes – finds himself fighting to save his own life, when he becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation. To clear himself he must discover the identity of the true killer. As Joe pursues the true killer - he is assisted by his somewhat competent cousin who works hotel security, who longs to become a police officer one day – his biggest hurdle to overcome is his weight. Detective Rogers assigned to the case decides to give Joe the benefit of the doubt but is not completely sold on Joe’s innocence. The deeper Rogers gets into the investigation the greater the doubt grows of Joe’s innocence. Joe begins to buy in to the new rented lifestyle he is living and it only serves to bring more trouble for him – especially when he meets Angela an attractive young fashion designer who is on the rise in her career. Angela is like a breath of fresh air to a guy who has been slowly suffocating. Though their initial meeting is built what Joe wants to believe are innocent little untruths – that will come back to haunt him. Joe will later learn that he has again a new reason to live and someone maybe worth risking his most prized possession – his life! The killer, while trying to retrieve an item from Joe of great value unbeknownst to Joe – an item so valuable that Joe’s very life is at stake! The closer Joe gets to the killer the greater the consequences for Joe. When Joe starts to ask too many questions and becomes a nuisance to some big and influential people they decide that maybe Joe should be silenced and some interesting attempts are made to do just that. After awhile Joe’s biggest challenges becomes staying out of prison, staying alive and salvaging a potential relationship with Angela, which is a huge task for a guy who hasn't shown much concern for his own life the last year before all this. Does he have the courage, fortitude and inner strength that it will take put things in order - and gain control of his life again.
