Comments: Effective public transportation in the third largest metropolitan city in the United States is crucial for people who use it as well as for those who do not. Our economy and environment, especially, are dependent upon us. Please work with us -- the citizens of our state -- to make it work. Thank you and Best Regards, Josef Zeigler.

Comments: At a time when environmental issues are at a heightened awareness, you want to decrease public transportation, ultimately increasing the number of vehicles on our streets This definitely doesn't align with any green city plans or support a congruent engineering structure for our roadways. Remember, the buses in harm of elimination are those taken by many of your high bracket tax payers. Instead of sending empty 151s down the Drive, why not keep a few express buses for those farther away from the Loop

Comments: Public transportation is important to Chicago, unlike most other major cities. The great thing about this city is the fact that it feels smaller because it is easy to get around. Don't change that.

Comments: We need the #135 and #134 bus routes to continue for many riders who work in the Loop. The routes are congested enough. I cannot see the #156 being able to accommodate any extra riders.

Comments: I commute to work on the bus, which is usually full. Eliminating express runs will put more people on other bus lines which are already full and slow, or worse yet, put more people in cars for increased congestion and pollution. I have a car, but choose to use the bus so I can sit and read and ignore traffic. There's a limit to how much time I will spend every day standing and packed in like sardines. Don't eliminate the heavily used routes.

Comments: The 135 already has trouble accomadating all of the people who utilize that bus route - what are we going to do when it no longer is available The 145 and 146 can not pick up the slack.

Comments: Affordable and reliable public transportation is not a luxury, it is a requirement. Thousands of people who have no other transportation alternatives depend upon it daily and cutting service would dramatically reduce their quality of life. Reliable public transportation is also imperative to a cleaner environment and a less congested city, it keeps people out of fossil fuel burning cars that crowd streets and highways. Please take the long view and continue to invest in maintaining and improving our public transportation options.

Comments: Healthcare for everyone is important. The people who need the most help in that area also need help GETTING TO THE HEALTHCARE via Public Transportation! Look at the big picture, It's not about Chicago and down-state. It's about all aspects of peoples's lives. Higher fares in the Chicago area hurts a large number of struggling people the most. People who have to use public transportation. What they save in health benefits will be spent daily on getting to work and trips to the doctor. Please re-Think ! A re-thinking Democrat, S.I.

Comments: The 135 is always packed, standing room only. Why would you eliminate this cash cow for you It goes to show how poorly run the CTA must be if you are considering eliminating this route. If anything, you should be adding MORE 135s.

Comments: People need to get to work. There is no viable alternative for anyone from Belmont to Irving to get to LaSalle. If we all get on the 156, it won't have any room for anyone else further down the line. Legislators - grow up.
