Ever year more than 1.2 million children are trafficked and for every 800 people trafficked only one person was convicted. This is shocking and need to change. Traffickers are making an estimated $31.6 billion a year profit on the explotation of men, women and children. This has to change it is not just in poor countries that this is happening, it is going on all over the world in many developed countries like the United Kingdom and the United States. Many trafficking victims are subjected to physical or sexual violence and many of these victims are under the age of 16. Alot of girls some aged 14 are exploited and subjected to rape and forced to work in brothels. The majority of the victims are women and children who are forced to work 16 to 18 hour days with little or no food. Many of them have been taken from their families or given away by their parents because they belive they are giving their child a better life but in many cases this is not true. Many of them have to make goods that you may ware with out realising who has made it. These items may include bracelets and necklaces. The world has to stand up and do more to combat this cruelty and help the victims of this tragic crime!
