Disagree with Maker's Mark lowering of ABV

We would like to voice our disagreement regarding Maker's Mark lowering the ABV of their product.  As loyal bourbon drinkers, we appreciated the quality of Maker's Mark.  If there is indeed a shortage, then we prefer quality over quantity, and to say that "they couldn’t tell a difference" between the original and the watered down product is insulting to the customers.  Many, many of us boycotted Jack Daniels for watering down their product years ago, and we would truly hate to have to do the same thing with Maker's.  Many of the signers here are Maker's Ambassadors, whom you say you hold in high regard.  If so, please maintain the original product and ABV.    Sincerely, the bourbon lovers.

Addendum: We appreciate that you have listened to our voices and rightly reversed your decision to lower the ABV of your bourbon.  We will sympathize with neither ballyhoo nor inferiority of product.  We will however raise a glass with you in agreement that neither press nor cutting corners will advance our relationship.  To that end, the customers and loyal bourbon drinkers salut you.

2 years ago Comments: This will not stand! This, from where I'm sitting, is purely a profit driven move.Your feeble attempt to disguise it as anything else is pathetic. If supply is so short, increase the price. Market it as a rare hard to find bourbon, ever heard of Pappy Van Winkle? I joined the JD boycott years ago as stated above.I still have not bought one product from the Brown-Foreman Evil Empire. This includes what was my go to top shelf bourbon Woodford Reserve. Years later when Mr. Lincoln Henderson left the Evil Empire he created one of the finest bourbons I have ever tasted Angel's Envy, another hard to find but UNMOLESTED bourbon. Learn form the above examples and you will find wealth, respect of bourbon lovers and self-respect. Ignore the warning and give into petty greed, well, you could loose far morel and become just another soul-less corporate slug. Chris Markle.
