This petition has been initiated by friends and coworkers of Richard Lee to help his family receive an Extreme Makeover for their unfinished home in the forest land of Washington State. Richard Lee went missing during a camping trip in August 2004 leaving behind his wife Yvonne and six children. They live in an unfinished dwelling on 27 acres of forestland in Western Washington. Richard built the structure himself as temporary housing for his family to inhabit while he built his dream home on the property. Unfortunately he will not be able to fulfill his dream. His family cannot collect all the insurance and benefits they might be due otherwise because of his status as a missing person. This makes it impossible for them to build their new home and difficult to move back into town.
