To: Member States of the United Nations
We, the undersigned people strive to build a better and more peaceful world. In order to achieve this goal, we call on the Member States of the United Nations (UN) to adopt a resolution to outlaw war and reform the UN Security Council by establishing a system whereby football matches between Member States will henceforth be used in place of war to settle international conflicts.
We find this resolution to be wholly consistent with the commitment contained in Article 1 (Purposes) of the UN Charter to maintain international peace and security and to be likewise consistent with the UN Security Council’s mandate to adjust disputes which might lead to international friction.
Please make goals not war.
