We all know that the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. And Ohio is an open-carry state. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of convention attendees (in the crime-riddled streets of Cleveland!), and in order to protect the integrity of the nominating process, and in order to demonstrate the inherent safety of the open-carry lifestyle, we the undersigned insist that all of the 2016 GOP convention, including the main convention floor, be an open-carry convention.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The importance of the event does not change the inalienable right to self-defense of those in attendance.
Let's make America great again with guns! Might makes right. It's the American way.
They want to be safe, right? What's safer than a shooting gallery with a bunch of carnival barkers up front stoking the flames of hatred and violence?
Safety first. Cleveland's a rough town and it would make a real second amendment statement.
What's good for all of us who've been goosed should also be good for the Grand Old Party.

For the benefit of people coming in from out-of-state, kiosks should be available at which attendees may rent firearms by the day.
