   Comments: Parent of an 8-year and there is no value I can assign to his life. He goes to inverness Elementary and I wish to see remote access added and some help added to the After School Program as well. What Ms. Hoffman has done this year to calm us and help our children has been incredible. I thank her and her entire staff. What I would like to see is Shelby County Schools work with the Sherriff's and the local vendors to train us parents on gun safety in our homes. We all have guns and with them ever present in the media and the houses, teach us how to keep them sfely so that random appearances at schools or getting into the hands of an immature child doesn't harm anyone. No parent is going to tell you their child isn't stable so help them help my child live longer. Have been disappointed how the local gun sellers ren't stepping in to advocate safety as they sell these guns. I have owned mine for many years but keeping a curious 8-yr old safe for his own good is easier said than done.
