   Comments: And another injury accident this morning at Beacon Light and Hwy 16. Both Beacon Light & Floating Feather intersections are EXTREMELY dangerous. What does it take to get a light? Obviously it's about traffic counts - might be best to start looking into what your gut tells you, the number of cars only tells a portion of the story. Let's save some lives. Get some traffic lights!

   Comments: CONCERNED PARENT and RESDENT OF THE AREA: I live 1/8 mile from the site of the accident, and see Shauna's cross every day. We have lived there on Floating Feather for over 19 years, and I've seen many close calls at that intersection and had a few myself. It is EXTREMELY dangerous, and the speed is too high! Also, drivers pass--even when there is oncoming traffic. My sympathies go out to the Hill family. We need to get this done.

    Comments: I pass through this intersection infrequently, but each time it is clear that the speeds cars are going are excessive compared to the traffic pattern. The traffic light would be a great help because the lower speed limit will often be ignored by just the drivers that will cause the next fatality.

    Comments: I was born and raised in Emmett. This stretch of road was dangerous when I was growing up, and the speed limit was 55 back then. How many more young people will be seriously injured or killed before something is done?

    Comments: As one who has lost five siblings, all younger than, I know the deep grief experienced by surviving brothers and sisters. We know for the parents, it is a chapter of a nightmare without a closure. It is of paramount importance to do whatever is necessary and protect another life from being lost and prevent another family from the agony of preventable grief.

    Comments: We live down the street and remember with sadness when this accident occurred. We do not know the Hill's but we do support this effort 100%. We have four children, one just getting his license and we've warned him many times about this area. There needs to be either a light or stop sign combined with lower speed limit at this intersection. We hope you act quickly to prevent anyone else from getting hurt. Sue Donnellan

    Comments: I use the intersection of Hwy16 and Beacon light frequently. It is also very dangerous due to the speed of approaching cars. My daughter is 15 and will soon be driving. I am sorry for those who have lost their children so needlessly and would love to see something done to make it safer.
