Final supporters
Many people have discounted you Prime Minster Trudeau! Many have discounted you as young, naive and idealistic. But the thing your father had, and that I believe you can embody, is a steadfast commitment to walking your own path. There is no move that best exemplifies Canada, best exemplifies you as the new Prime Minister of Canada, than making Elizabeth May the Minister of the Environment. At this pivotal moment in our country's history, the world needs you to be brave. Canada needs you to be brave. So please, on behalf of all Canadians, I ask you to be brave for my family, for your family, and not just for your friends on Bay Street, make Elizabeth May your Minister of the Environment. Please, Justin, inhabit the unexpected, demonstrate idealism, and do what Canada wants.
The Facts:
If Canada had a "Fair Elections Act" then the Green Party would have 12 seats in the House of Commons, instead they only have one, depriving the party of official status.
While Trudeau and the Liberals have promised reform of the democratic system it will not come early enough to help this term. Trudeau should reach across the aisle to help make this a fair parliament and a parliament in which all Canadians can believe.
No-one knows the environment portfolio better than May and she has strong and bold ideas that will benefit all Canadians. See her talent here:

Seeing one hundred people put their names on this gives me so much hope for the future of our climate policy. I started this because I am terrified about what kind of world my children will inherit. Thank you for agreeing that it is time for someone with real vision to lead the way.

I have been reading through the deeply personal stories you leave in the comments about why our climate future is at stake. The silence from the Prime Minister remains frustrating but it only motivates me to keep pushing harder for a leader who truly understands the urgency of this crisis.

I voted Liberal but I think Elizabeth May would be a great choice to represent Canadians as Environmental Minister. She is educated and passionate about this and in this day and age it is a very important issue and Canada has fallen short over the last decade.
Canada can lead the world in the transition to renewable energy. Elizabeth May would put long-term sustainability before short-term "economic profit." Climate Change is my #1 concern and Justin Trudeau has a opportunity to be on the right side of history.
Nothing substantial was said during your victory speech. You ant to give hope , change and show a positive image of politics. So Mr Trudeau it is time to open up and go beyond the boundaries of your political movement and appoint the right person for the job.
Our government operates on Westminster Parliamentary Democracy. Any MP can serve in cabinet, and our constitution does not mention parties anywhere. Choose the best people for each job. Elizabeth is the best choice for Minister of the Environment.
Elizabeth May would be the Minister of the Environment that Canada desperately needs right now. What better complement to the Liberals' plan to invest in green infrastructure than to appoint such an educated, dedicated, and clear-headed leader in environmental issues?
