Due to the DirecTv / Viacom contract dispute, DirecTv customers have lost 27 channels (Nick, Spike, Comedy Central, CMT, etc.) from their contracted packages. It has been stated that DirecTv will lower customer's bills $5 per month for 3 months until this dispute can be worked out. It has been stated that once the contract has been worked out customers get the channels back but at an increase in our bill or the channels get moved from the Basic package to a Premium package and we have to pay more to get those channels. This is unfair to customers, especially those that only have DirecTv in their area. Customers sign contracts for 1+ year(s) and to cancel the contract would result in paying a fee, which is also unfair. Please sign this petition if you agree that DirecTv vs Viacom should not affect the customer financial and still get our channels back.
