The parking meters are hurting businesses in Downtown Chula Vista. Customers and clients complain most about the parking tickets they get while shopping on Third Avenue. Many storeowners keep jars of quarters on their counters to help out change-challenged patrons. People avoid parking in the downtown area altogether because of the annoyance caused by dashing in and out of shops and restaurants to feed their parking meter. The parking is free after 6 PM, but most businesses are open during the day. There's no other meters in Chula Vista other than the area North of H Street between 3rd and 4th Ave. It makes no sense to the business owners here. More revenue would be gained by removing the parking meters. Help keep businesses in Downtown Chula Vista.
