This is a petition for youmacon that pre-reg badges should be mailed this year. Youmacon started off with around 2,000 guests and increased to over 10,000. This year the list is probably going to grow. For about 2 years, they have been having problems with the pre-reg line. The plan last year was for everyone to have the same bar codes and scan them but that didn't work. Now they think more people to work reg lines will make it better. I have to disagree. Having more than 8 people for reg and pre-reg will not fix the problem. Even 16 won't get 6,000 people through faster. Maybe 30 min but that is still to long. They have more than enough attendees to mail out badges and charge a mailing fee. The reg line took 30 mins while pre-reg took 3-4 hours. The nice thing about pre-reg is that they can get a count for how many attendees there will be plus not everyone can afford a 60 dollar badge. Having that discount will bring more people. Please sign this if you agree that enough is enough. We deserve to have these badges mailed to us these years of youmacon being unorganized with registration.
