Lets make sure noone else is punished for trying to get their child support paid. It is wrong for a person to file a custody case after a show cause on child support. My ex husband filed a show cause on me for custody 8 days after I filed a show cause on him for child support. I was found not guilty on the show causes. He was only ordered to pay 508 a month for 2 children and he refused to pay it even though his deposits last year were over $90,000. The court system has let him punish me for trying to force him to pay his child support by letting him file show causes on me for custody. He still is not paying support and now I have to pay a lawyer on top of supporting our kids by myself. I think there needs to be law giving a time frame between the two. So that the real reason for custody battles will be for the kids best interests and not about money.
