A few of my friends were on the wrestling team and I dont think it should be cut, its a winning program and has a history of winning as well. Dont hurt a wining program, its like your not supporting athletic success.City: ChicagoFlag

Name: Ryan Skolasinski on Nov 4, 2006Comments: I wrestled for Coach Kelly for two years at Mac, and i have been his assistant coach for two years. I witnessed first hand all of the time and hard work he has put into this program. When he came to Mac the team had two guys on it and now we have 30 and we have seen success. Our future was looking extremely bright untill this happened. None of us deserve this especially Coach Kelly. We have all worked so hard to make Mac wrestling a successfull program. Please save Mac Wrestling.City: JacksonvilleFlag

The "last" program to cut is Wrestling, not the first...and why are us Grapplers facing such stiff competition from Girl's Programs Priorities dictate First Things First! Name: Diane Grebner on Nov 4, 2006Comments: I read with deep concern the news article concerning MacMurray College's decision to drop its wrestling program before the season begins. It causes me to seriously question Mac Murray College's Board of Trustees' ethics. Let me ask a few questions. First, why t'he sudden decision to drop the program If this is not a sudden decision then any wrestler at the college should definitely be given a refund for the semester if they are paying their own tuition. I personally know one of the freshmen wrestlers who made a decision to attend MacMurrary in part because of his chance to work hard and qualify for the wrestling team. You as a college at the very least should have made this possble pending decision known well before now. My second question is why wrestling is being singled out, as no other team is being eliminated I am shocked and appalled by the lack of intergrity MacMurray College has shown in this matter. As a parent with children entering college age, I will certainly look elsewhere for my children college education. I hope you at least reconsider and let the program continue for this year and then make your decision.City: MetamoraFlag
