Changing the Dress Code Policy to better the eduaction process
On behalf of the student body of Smyrna High School I would like to suggest the idea of changing the rule in the Dress Code Policy which states that facial peircing are not to be worn. The students at our school feel that in no way do peircings distrupt our learning process or effect our everyday lives in anyway. The fact that teachers takes out of their lesson in order to tell a student they need to take out their piercing is much more of a distraction than actually having the piercing. When in the classroom people pay very little attention to students facial peircings, if they aren't paying attention to class they pay more attention to talking to their friends or avoiding their lesson. In conclusion facial piercings do not effect or disrupt our learning process.
