Lyons Council Meeting, June 15, 2009. There were over 70 citizens there, and were only given 30 minutes to voice their concerns for this new dispatch system. During the meeting, Lyons City Administrator, John Sweet, admitted that not all the details have been worked out yet. If all the details haven't been worked out yet, then why has the new dispatch system already been put into motion John Sweet lied to the citizens. When the 30 minutes were up, a citizen asked if we could hold a town meeting. Lyons City Mayor, Jim Cowan, said he would take it under advisement. Just like John Sweet, he lied to the citizens, a town meeting was never discussed at the end of Council Meeting. We have to remove these two liars, as they have proven to be unfit for their positions. A change HAS to be made, and it starts now, with the Citizens of Lyons.
