Several people are dropping out of colleges and universities because tuition keeps going up and most people can't afford to live like this. What's even more alarming is that some people have even decided to not even apply to college because of the same reason. According to an interview conducted by myself, on November 2009, some people who were interviewed affirmed that that they didn't apply to college because "why bother applying for college if we get accepted we won't be able to afforde it, so why bother". We should be well aware that in Europe, college education is free. That means more people have the posibility to get a BA a BS and what not without even having to worry about financial pressure. The college dropouts in Europe are less than the ones here in America. Why you may ask well mainly because they don't have any financial pressure or lack any financial support when it comes to education. We, the students, should make a stand and sign this petition to make a difference. The more signatures we get the higher the chances we have to be heard. We will send this petition to a congressman or whoever with the authority to decide whether we are are worth giving this chance to. Lowering university tuition will promote more people to finish their carreer and find better employement, thus have a better life. And maybe even prevent more economic crisis like the one we're living right now.
