OK, so enough with the e-mails saying don't buy gas on Apr 15th, stop buying gas from Esso. If we are really serious about telling our ELECTED government to do something, then mobilize and sign the petition. Send them a clear mandate that we want the taxes significantly lowered on gas. Most of us are lucky to see 1-2% annual increase, however gas just jumped 8%, it's not hard to do the math on this. Canada has to become a leader in saying enough is enough on gas prices. Why would our government want to fight for us on this, think of the money they receive each time the gas price goes up. Almost HALF of what you spend at the pump goes directly to the government! between outrageous gas prices and our collapsing health care system, I am finding it hard to say 'I am Canadian' with any level of pride anymore....how about you?
