LOW WAGE SHAME                                        11-30-2010
We the members of Previous Pure Fitness Phoenix, Arizona at several locations are very very Sad and Mad about losing Angelina Aleman and most likely other excellent aerobic instructors due to you slave wage policy. I recently found out that Instructors in Phoenix at one location were being paid $25 per class and when I told Angelina, she told me they were dropping her pay to $19 per class. Now since the take over they are going to CUT every ones wages to as low as $14.00 per class. Its not as if they have an 8 hour day for that wage per hour which would be reasonable. How can they afford to pay for gas? It costs $4.00 to $5.00 round trip to drive some classes depending on how far it is. These instructors teach at several locations and for only one hour at a time. They can't afford to pay for gas along with long term vehicle expenses including oil changes, tires and maintenance etc. Does LA think these people have wings?? It is not affordable to come to class for many.
 In particular we the under signed think Angelina is the best Latin dance instructor ever. She always draw a big crowd with her very exuberant and energetic style. That really puts us in shape and helps us burn calories along with the best exercise there is available.
We want instructors to get what they deserve $25.00 at least to make it worthwhile to drive to work .
P.S. It should also be corrected that Angelina started her employment with Pure Fitness not LA Fitness which was one of the excuses LA used to lower her wages after the takeover.
