   Comments: I support the message of this petition – as a long-time resident of Humboldt County, there is a tremendous need for *responsible* growth in the area. Lovelace and his associates have repeatedly expressed disinterest and have condemned progress of projects that would help facilitate growth for the greater North Coast region.

    Comments: Humboldt County needs growth and Mark Lovelace has shown his desire not to let that happen. There are other candidates who are just as qualified as Mr.. Lovelace but, are not connected to a private interest or party. The other candidates are impartial and would look at the states best interest while protecting the environment & coast. If Mark Lovelace is appointed as North Coast Regional Representative on the California Coastal Commission, Humboldt County residents will suffer from his lack of desire for growth and many job opportunities will be lost. As Governor of California dealing with the state budget crises, you understand the need for new jobs now is more important then ever. Appointing Mark Lovelace as the North Coast Regional Representative will eliminate many job opportunities here on the North Coast
